Finally! My Dirty Dash Post!

This post is almost a month late, but whatevs, I've been busy LIVING! Today is your lucky day friends. This is day that you finally get to hear about my Spokane Dirty Dash experience.

My co-workers and I from the Derm Clinic and Med Spa aka "The Land of Vanity" ran 4.5 miles through mud while going over and under obstacles. Why would we do this? This was a team building exercise that became a wonderful bonding experience. Our team name was "The Muddy Moles" because we are the skin biz.

This is what a coworker and I looked like right before we started the race.

PLEASE watch this video so that you can get an idea of what June 16, 2012 was like for us dirty dashers! Trust, some of you may want to come stay with me next year and run it with me after you watch this! Raven and Sabrina take note: I already signed us three up for next year. *buwahahahahaha*
OVER 5,000 people participated in the Spokane 2012 Dirty Dash!

FINISH LINE MUD PIT! That cesspool was crazy deep in some spots.
The Muddy Moles survived and lived to laugh about our adventure. Not every team member is pictured, so if you are that said team member email me the pics that you have so that I can show you and your Dirty Dash filth off on le bloggy please.

As a team we left Riverside State park filthy, happy, energized, and stronger; individually and as group. I am now addicted to the Dirty Dash, this says a lot considering that I do not like to be dirty and it took me four showers to get clean!

Have any of you ever done a mud run? I guess that these dirty adventures take place all over the country. If you ever have the opportunity to participate in one, grab a friend and get dirty dashing!

  2. I did something very similar this year, The Warrior Dash. I thought I would hate being dirty during the run, but it was so much fun doing it with the group I was with. Looks like you enjoyed it too!

  3. Congrats Shasta! How fun...I haven't done one. I run a lot of races, but I have to say it takes a little something extra special to do one of these...not sure I've got it in me...

  5. How is it that you are getting ready to run through freakin mud, but still look so put together?
I went to a Warrior Dash this year also, but didn't run, only supported the guys that did. Maybe it's something I can work up to for next year.
